Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of licenseyourdata.com (the "Site") and the services described on it (the "Services"), provided by License Your Data LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Site or submitting the form, you agree to these Terms.

1. What we do

We help operating businesses explore licensing a copy of their internal business data to AI developers ("Buyers"). We evaluate whether your company may qualify, help you size and describe the data, present your profile to one or more Buyers, relay any offer, and support the transfer and payment process if you accept. We are an intermediary. We are not a Buyer and we do not purchase data ourselves.

2. No guarantee

Submitting the form does not create a deal, an offer, or any obligation on us or any Buyer. Dollar figures on the Site are ranges from past or typical transactions and are not a quote, valuation, or promise. Whether any Buyer makes an offer, and the amount, depends on the Buyer and on your data. We do not guarantee that you will qualify, receive an offer, or receive any particular amount.

3. Fees

There is no fee to submit the form or speak with us. If you accept a Buyer's offer and a transaction closes, our compensation is set out in a separate written agreement you will sign before any data is transferred. Nothing is owed to us unless and until that agreement says so.

4. Your representations

By submitting the form, you represent that you are at least 18, that you are authorized to speak for the company you name, and that the information you provide is accurate. You agree to update us if it changes. Inaccurate information may cause a Buyer to withdraw an offer.

5. Your data

Any licensing of your company's data happens only under a separate written agreement between your company and the Buyer, which will set out scope, permitted use, de-identification, and payment. Until that agreement is signed, no data is transferred. These Terms do not license, transfer, or grant any rights in your company's data to us or anyone else.

6. Not legal, tax, or financial advice

We are not your lawyer, accountant, or advisor. Information on the Site and in conversations with our team is general in nature. You are responsible for determining whether licensing your data is appropriate for your company, including any obligations to your clients, employees, or under contracts and laws that apply to you. We recommend you consult your own counsel.

7. Communications

You agree that we may contact you by phone, text, and email about your request, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text or emailing michael@licenseyourdata.com.

8. Site use

You may not use the Site to submit false information, scrape or copy its contents, interfere with its operation, or for any unlawful purpose. The Site and its content are owned by us or our licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

9. Disclaimers

The Site and Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Site or Services, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site or Services will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms or information you provide that is inaccurate or that you were not authorized to provide.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Williamsburg, Virginia, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept them.
